And therein lies the difference. Let's also remember Woolworths on the high street was also heaving with customers day in day out. Nowadays no cunt is interested in Doggy Dawson and Dennis Harbour etc. The only people bothered are the players who have no ambition to better themselves against the elite of the game and officials who if it wasn't for county darts would be sat in old folks homes with soup dribbling down their chins.
Fuck county darts. It's fucking shit.

These were usually played on a Sunday, when the pubs had to shut for a few hours, that was the scene. Big working mens club, to watch some of the best and only known players then, get rat arsed then out on the steam round the locals till lock in time. All connected to drink and having a good time, not now when its half your wage for a night out, cant have a smoke in peace and shite players playing, isn't the greatest draw.
No one round lancashire way knows county goes on, no ads, no contacting pub teams. Just the usual old crowd turn up and there not getting any younger. Fuck it off and just have 12 or so county opens. Half the time it's an expensive trip round the country all raised by fuckin programmes and levies to superleague players who won't get picked cos their not licking Dave Marcrofts ring and signing for his team because he will get them in the Lancashire side. Joke from start to finish.

Cba to make its own thread
Hogan bounced out of the Gold Cup straight off the bat.
Barrie Bates tearing it up and into the quarters.
Kev McDine in the last 16 as well.

Joyce, averaging a mind blowing 84, sees off Warren, who caned the trebles with a 78 average, 6-3.
Astonishingly Joyce, the now Gold Cup champion, averaged almost identically Fat face Fallon, who beat Deta in the final in the ladies.

Played Adams at Lakeside last year, took it to the deciding leg with a 164 finish.M H wrote:Doesn't he play on the Challenge Tour? Name rings bells
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.
