Lastly, lots of people thought the coverage was good, perhaps the signal in the far flung outposts of our previous colony, wasn’t that great hence the criticism, however a spokesmen from the Men players told me that the players don’t want TV, so I am sure both us and the BDO will be better suited, save us negotiating time and money, more money in our coffers, no need to hassle sponsors into parting with their companies assets, because the players don’t want it, perhaps I should let Barry Hearn know, this is how the new breed of dart players think. Happy Days all round.
Really?!?!
tbh, that shit comes as no surprise. been plenty of lads over the years that just don't fancy it on a big stage/on camera. fucking horrific attitude.

the game needs new talent, not more 40 something floor players.

Or better still, Barry should honour their wishes and not invite the miserable cunts in the first place.

Well the viewing figures prove the bdo fans do not care.

I firmly and genuinely believe there was never that many bdo fans that watch bdo shit on tv.
The viewing figures for bbc was because bbc will get huge numbers regardless what they show.

The bdo numbers on dave tv were shit
They were shit on ESPN
They were worse on BT
And deplorable of Frontrunner.

They can blame each and every channel but the reality is no one wants to watch that shit.
They had a global audience of less than 300 for the FUCKING ENTIRE PLANET OF OVER 7 BILLION PEOPLE

Get with the program guys.
Viewing figures do not matter. The players do not want to be on TV. Everyone had a great time. BDO family. Loyalty. Ranking points. Golliwogs. Proper Darts.

You do know that BBC will always have higher viewing figures then C4.

The GBBO will also have lower figures

PL coverage this year has dropped by 15%
Even ITV has dropped a little bit over the past 12 months.

The trend is hitting most things now.

The way we watch things is changing. F1, WWE, NFL and other sports have seen a decline in TV viewership. The PDC will adapt with the times. It has enough resources and interest to do so.

Are actual viewers down or are they just watching ia streams, downloaded torrents, koid boxes etc. ?

It will be impossible to tell for the most part

Viewership is irrelevant. It's not a TV programme, although it's on TV. Haven't you heard?

Those people who have BARB boxes are just like the rest of the country. Watching less and less live TV and more and more streaming content.

Agreed.

TV viewership being down doesn't strictly mean that overall interest is down. I think it is with F1 and other sports, but perhaps not with PDC darts, or at least to the extent that the figures show. The P.L and Worlds are still doing well at the gate.

This shows that interest in darts is rising worldwide. And it's being driven by the PDC world championship.
