PDC has gotten far too precious with all the stupid clamping down on social media, statements in interviews, and just general banter. Let them have at it a bit, it makes for great press and builds rivalry. OTOH I do understand the concern when someone within the org or associated with mngmt of the player makes accusations of match fixing that is another level. OTOH the wives of dart players are likely to say stupid rash things because of the emotional attachments, so let them say what they want who is going to take them seriously? With that if Mrs Wright got a 10k fine, that is far to steep and way out of line with what I have seen the DRA level.

Sure the PDC is going to do just fine without Wright in his fancy pants (trousers if you like) and crayola head. But love or hate Wright you have to admit it makes it a little more fun when he is painted up like a french whore ready for the dockers payday.

When Wade was fucked out of the PL he was not in an automatic position for the then PL.
The PDC could and did make up excuses to leave him out, the difference here is Wright can act the prick all he wants, he aint done anything wrong
He has fulfilled his obligations in attending events, playing in them, doing interviews etc, and come the next PL he is well on target to be in the world top 4 which is automatic entry to the PL.
His clown gimmick is not part of any deal, in fact he can scrap it whenever he wants, its not part of any agreement.

Personally I hope the gimmick is gone, cos behind all that stupid shit there is a top class player and if he is playing with a bee in his bonnet we might see even better darts, and that is better for the game than any stupid gimmick

Yes he can act the prick all he wants but let's not lose sight of it's him acting the prick. It's also not the same as the BDO mentality as in this case it's actually true. Apart from two players the rest need the PDC far more than the PDC need them. There also won't be a PDC split as they know they'll never get another tour off the ground unless all leave and that aint gonna happen.
