Vincent van der Voort on twitter

I Just want to say calendar of the Pdc is not for 128 players but for 8. I hope they are going to change that in the future.
I am not only talking about myself but for many players this is the last weekend they can play before the worlds
Typical moaning dutch cunt, there are more than 8 players in the players champs finals, more than 8 in the European champs, and of course more than 8 in the GSoD.

Just because he was not good enough to qualify for most comps dont mean its only for 8.

The PDC don't owe the players a living.

He's not talking about himself (he says as much in his tweet). VvdV has easily qualified for basically everything upcoming except the Grand Slam, and he still has a decent chance of going through the qualifiers for that (it's easy to forget, but he's a top 16 player currently). So that's not the point.

He's talking about a lesser group of players that doesn't qualify for any of these majors, but do qualify for Ally Pally (so a bunch of players just outside the top 32, more or less). Now's the season of major tournaments, but it leaves very little for non-major players to do for the next two months or so. No Players Championships, no Euro qualifiers or Euro Tours, no Challenge Tours or Development Tours, etc.

Surely those that haven't made it had the chance over the last year? Would they be moaning if they were good enough?

All players have certain advantages

The Irish players get a chance in the grand prix, bdo jobber with the GSoD, floor champs held in the uk help the brits. home nation qualifiers help the euro players.

The chances are there and if they are not taken then its down to the players

There has been plenty of opportunity for players to get to these events. There have been 18 players championship tournaments so far this year along with all the euro events, and Uk open qualifiers. Alan Norris has shown that one decent showing in one of these cas seriously open doors.

Alongside that there has been the UK open itself which provides really decent opportunity to climb the rankings with its unseeded format.

If they haven't qualified they weren't good enough. Had the same opportunity as each other.

I dont see it as a huge issue, there are still the same number of events. And if the same number of events were spread out over more weekends, players would moan its costing them more in travel etc....

Anyway, Vinny is in at least two of the events between now and November, so dont see why he is moaning.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

He has a point this time, though.

I mean, just look at what happened to the Grand Slam and World Series qualifiers. Definitely some room for improvement for the PDC there.
