New Team

Post by Mabbsy » Tue Mar 31, 2015 1:50 pm

Nearly sorted for the summer now :D

Will be playing at our county venue (which is 5 minutes walk from home) subject to a ''team talk'' over Easter :D
Not the highest of leagues but a decent bunch of lads and a decent venue :D

Happy days ahead...........hopefully !

Really looking forward to it to be honest, a lot of lads in there are ex-county team mates from a few years back so I know a lot of them already, should be good.

My new skippers Mrs ran the ''ladies'' team for years, darts crazy so got to be good :D

That didn't go to plan last Friday, a huge defeat  and a 0-3 singles result for me !!!
Fair play to my opponent, he played really well.

Venue was good, team-mates were good, beer was good (and cheap) and post match spread was excellent :D

I was in the pub all the time and used to take an interest in the dart team, started travellng with them to away matches...any excuse for a piss up for me.
Got to the point one day they had not enough members, and were gonna cancel until they asked if I would be one of the missing lads and use his name,

That was it, I lost but it did not matter as we were 4-2 up at the time so team could bot lose, won the next away game i played, and then the shit started, those cunts who never turned up for weeks came back demanding their places and medals.
A split started , and I and a couple went to the B team, A team disbanded.
following year we the B team ran away with the division, you should have seen the team....if there ever was a bigger group of total pissheads walking the face of the earth I would have been shocked, but great craic for a couple of years and many a fabulous night in the dump pubs of cork
