That's what he appears to be saying mate.
Bunting
Norris
Kong
Three of four Lakeside semi finalists last year. Then add Duzza and Wilson, the future is bright for Harris
When they are trying to negotiate TV deals and sponsorship it must be a real blessing to be able to say three of last year's semi finalists have left.
Give your head a shake wade ffs, it's disastrous.

Aye.
We've got doggy dawson.
The old guard and the new Yorkshire lads will keep lakeside going.
Oh, hold on, here's the response. Not seething atol
If my ambition at 16 was to spend all my weekends stuck in a leisure centre having to talk to the likes of droopid and be quiet while a load of blokes have their financial security jeapordised I'd have to wonder where I went wrong in terms of social circles at school.
A free Eclipse HD from the Unicorn bargain bin to whoever guesses correctly who said that.
Yes, because the BDO tour is cheap!

Obviously it would be better if they stayed, but it's not a disaster either.
It leaves a few spots free at the top table for other people to step into the void. Whether they'll capitalise on that chance is another matter entirely.

As as happened throughout the years the void is filled by less than was there already. The spiral downwards continues

It wasn't a disaster when the defending champion left. A year on they've got a lot more events on Eurosport, brought back an old major in the BDO Trophy, have allegedly got a contract for 4 or 5 events on BT Sport and the world championship overall has been of a better standard.
They've progressed from where they were.
A Green vs Durrant final would be alright as long as they played a good match. The public are used to people switching from BDO to PDC, it's not going to make a difference.

Which is why the last two years at Lakeside have been of a higher overall standard than the 3 or 4 years prior.
Standard of players across the board is getting better.

Yet, their best players continue to leave for greener pastures.
The day the world stood still:

They want to compete with the PDC, not just simply run darts tournaments. That's why the "world pro" still exists even though it lags well behind the competitor, thats why they put barriers in place for players thinking of switching, and they fall further and further behind every year in terms of prize money, match averages, attendance, revenue, everything.
Success though, eh?

All you can do is improve your current position.
The prior regime were stagnant and regressive and allowed it to get into this state.
The current regime have brought back a defunct major, got a lot more events on television and are in the process of getting a multi-event deal with a big sporting television network who have cash to burn.
I'd say that was progress, yes.

Have you actually seen what they put on TV? The fag end of a few floor events is definitely a huge backward step as it's no advert for darts of any kind apart from a fairground stall.
Also why with all this progress are the top two seeds fucking off along with another couple from the top eight? Is that progress as well?

The standard has got better? Even with enormous trebles and a bucket for a bull the standard is shit.
You condemned a higher standard the last two weeks, which is it?
