might work in most place but believe me a push bike in cork is serious stuff.
The hills in cork make san francisco seem like slight slopes.

Sober practicing with the kids in the youth centre, walk in the park, 18 darts or under, easy!! Sober at home practicing, fairly good, sober in the pub messing around, still handy enough to hold the board when o shea aint in. Sober in competition, i go to shite, sorry i mean S H I T E!!!!
I played in dublin, and in practice we were doing finishes, if u finish 101, you stay on to 102 and so on. I stayed on for 6 finishes on the spin twice. 1st round match, best leg was 29 darts, i won the game but had to run to the bar and had 5 quick pints to be ready for round 2, after that i was grand.
I be honest if i cud not drink i wud not see the point in continueing to play the game, cause the enjoyment for me is a few pints with the lads.

I was practising like this with James Wade and Paul Gibbs before a local open once and managed to take out 105, 106 and 107 in consecutive throws. Probably not that special in the scheme of things, but I enjoyed it!Dicie wrote: I played in dublin, and in practice we were doing finishes, if u finish 101, you stay on to 102 and so on.

We usually play for 20cent a finish, as if theres 5 or 6 on the board it can get right annoying just throwing for the sake of it, i do find it helps thou...

Re: Morning all
That's fair play with the enjoyment aspect if you are having a good time.
I noticed though that when i was playing i was literally forcing booze down my throat because i felt i couldnt play as well. I know now that was the wrong thing to do.
It's all in the mind really and about trainging it to overcome the sober wobbles. I stopped playing in Febuary apart from with mates because weekly i was drinking a fucking shitload and my diet was horrendous.
So glad i did as i feel better for it, shed a few stone so far and after picking up the darts again have felt better about it than i used to.

Not that special! How many times do you see the pros taking out three ton plus finishes on the bounce?Wookiee wrote:I was practising like this with James Wade and Paul Gibbs before a local open once and managed to take out 105, 106 and 107 in consecutive throws. Re: Morning all
I beat Gibbsy a year or two after that at Superleague - was a couple of years before he played King in the Lakeside, but he was still a county 'A' player, so easily my best scalp. Incidentally, the 107 was pretty - 25, Bull, D16!!M H wrote:Not that special!
