He was very good/consistent a few years ago, between 2005-2011 or so, top-8 in the world PDC included. Last few years his game has slipped though, it's only because of some good BDO players switching he's still up where he is now in the BDO rankings, otherwise he wouldn't be anywhere near the best of the BDO. He's shit, look at the fields that he beat to become champion. players like tony fleet and phil nixon. He would have flopped in the pdc just like hankey did.

In his prime he would have been top-8 in the PDC. He was a very consistent 95AV kinda guy. I think he took part in a matchplay and grand prix around 2000-2001 and he got to the semi's and the quarters I think, that's pretty good going giving he only played them once. (I think)

He didn't do shit prior to the split and even had to wait for barney to piss off before he got one of his fakeside titles. he would have got destroyed and went crawling back to the bdo.

Anyway, yeah he wasn't known before the split and the split did help him getting through the rankings. But he would have done that anyway without the split, it just would have taken him a few more years than it did now. And yeah, in a unified field I'm pretty certain he would have never won lakeside or any other big tv-title, but for my money he would have been top-16 for a decade and top-8 in his prime. (which lasted about 5 years)

Poor Adams, Has no credibility with most Darts Followers. Barney's fans kept asking him when is he going to join the pdc and take on the best. Bunting kept getting asked the same thing. Bunting said that he wants to pit himself against the best so he joined the pdc. Barney wanted credibility and gained it when he won a pdc world title. Bunting will gain Credibility to be called a world champion if he wins a world title in the pdc. Adams will always be laughed at and thought of as a coward.
