Only just back from walking the dogs , too bloody hot, sweating like rout after being the dole told him they might have work for him.
Officially the hottest summer here in over 20 years, and I am kinda glad I am stuck indoors for most of it, or at least till mid august.

These last few days Ruby's been dead on her feet and she's a small short haired dog, the bigger dogs with hair must be suffering big time as dogs just don't do this heavy heat.

After half an hour early morning she's practically begging me to take her home which is so unlike her as she runs for the best part of two hours every morning. Apart from when it's raining!

The dog owners in the park are all saying how the mutts are off their food, barely moving and generally out of sorts. I've changed Ruby's feeding routine completely just to make sure she eats something although it's less than usual.

We've got a brilliant cross breeze going through the house so it's quite cool but she's found the coolest place

the GS still has a puppy coat, the collie has a thick thick long coat and its grand for the cold weather but too much for this heat and being black makes it worse
