I'd been with this girl a couple of years and turned 16 two months before her so yes it was technical rape by today's standards

No, although you'd be fine if you were under 18. That law is really to protect minors, and not, as some educators would have us believe, to punish them. In their eyes, if two 14 year olds had sex, they would be breaking the law, which is rubbish.

Stuart Hall's gonna be sentenced next month but is a custodial sentence necessary and in the public interest in this case? He's 83, the crimes were over thirty years ago but despite that abusing a nine year old girl or any girl come to that is unforgivable and incomprehensible. I'm not sure what is the appropriate outcome in a case of this nature but he's not been remanded as yet.

What do you lads think?

Haha, I did no such thing.

As for Stuart Hall, I can see why a custodial sentence woudn't do much good, but a 9 year old is beyond the pale. Very different from what John Peel was alleged to have done.

I don't know what they'll do with him, but he deserves some kind of punishment at least. Why not send him to prison?

Yes some kind of punishment is more than in order and deserved and we agree on the nine year old or any child.

He's been punished already with his kids and grandkids knowing what he did and believe me that would hurt, however that in itself doesn't balance the scales. He can't be viewed as a risk as he's been bailed so I guess the judge is pondering the situation as he would have been remanded is prison was certain.

I really don't know what the appropriate sentence should be in a case of this nature and all things considered

I couldn't believe that ITV broadcasted the sex offenders' register.

Then I realised I was watching the credits for Coronation Street.

Can't remember the exact wording but a few minutes after the bomb went off I said there were rumours that eight people had massive leg wounds with blood pouring down their legs but there was no pictorial evidence of this.

I would call them Boston Red Sox hut there was no pitcher.
