It appears the jockey taken to hospital is paralised
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

These jockey's are probably the bravest men in sport. They try to control half a ton of pure muscle flying over fences at 30 mph plus with no protection.

Is there another job when you would be followed by an ambulance?

used to do the horse riding for years, best time ever was when we went to the beach with them and sitting on the horse while it swam/paddled.

I remember once I took out this smaller horse that the owner only let the more experienced riders take out as he was a tempermental one.Anyway he sent me flying headfirst over his head, landed on the ground in a heap and rolled.

The gut that owned them and was with us caught up and told me i did the right thing in rolling when i slapped off the ground.

when I managed to get my breath back I informed him it was not me but gravity that caused me to roll, I had no say in the matter, was a true hopper of a fall, was buckled for days, and I was never as comfortable on a horse ever again, as you say the sheer strength and power is something you dont appreciate til you actually are riding them

In short no.
But as horse racing and breeding is for the rich and famouw and rual family there will always be horse racing. Otherwise it would have been banned. At least now we know how MacDonalds can make a burger so cheaply.
