Finally watched it. Not being biased, it's a great interview.

After he retires properly, Barney would unironically make a great pundit on Sky (never happen though as he does Viaplay), you genuinely forget that English is his second language.

Wth his experience in darts from pre-split to playing majors in the Littler era, he'd have such a unique perspective. Plus he'd reunite with his old Premier League and Las Vegas pals Part and Mardle, make it happen!

Before his first retirement he also had German lessons with one of the goals becoming a pundit In Germany I believe, but also plans to train Germans. He went to what is known as the 'Nuns of Vught' which is pretty expensive but come with a lot of succes. But I dont think he followed thru on that, dont think I have ever seen him speaking German.

Barrs interview with Porter is coming out today it seems, Porter isn't going to change the transgender policy

Barrs said Porter said "We have heard nothing" so its not changing for now. They are waiting on the IOC i reckon

Yeah the thing probably is that organisations dont have to limit to just women, but can extend the definition. Trans just cant call discrimination in the case PDC would limit it to women. Not sure if IOC has anything to do with this, they leave it to the organisations (so they dont get the blame), although I believe a while ago there was some news about banning them all or something like that, but not sure if that happens anytime soon. Maybe they are going to please Trump since it is in LA. There's not enough good ladies to have a proper tour, so they probably are just happy with Noa playing. The PDC probably refers to the DRA, who just do what the PDC tells them. Yesterday there was some news about womens snooker looking into it, but I dont think that is Matchroom.

This is the interview. Actually one of the first times I’ve gone through one and wouldn’t be able to argue about much he said. The only thing I disagree with is his confidence in the current premier league format. I don’t think the viewership increase has anything to do with the format and is more to do with the Luke Littler effect. Plenty of better formats imo

No changes to ranking
Venue is known, doesnt want to tell
Flat draw from 128 (like we already knew from the prize money)
Doesnt seem te be top 64 from OOM in, they dont know yet what they will do if I understood correctly
"IT'S JUST NOT FUNDAMENTALLY SOMETHING THAT WE AGREE WITH" about no first round prize money
Like said before, doesnt change trans policy and comfortable with that
Doesnt leave Ahoy because of the wind
Close to free to air deal

He didn't like that Barrs, et al have realised the Slam will be 16 x 3 next year, very weird response there imo.

I still think Barrs should be more assertive when challenging Porter/Hearn. All well and good siding with Mason and others who will criticise things and then kiss arse when it's time for it.

A better way to argue the £250 for L128 floor losers is to put it to him- the PDC would rather pay £1,250 each to 64 and zero for the rest, than £1,000 to 64 and £250 to the other 64, so we can see the response to that.

But it's not a bad interview. At least you learn some things from these when they happen.
