It's like being in a sex cult and still getting no action
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but PL has 8 prizes, so it probably will be the same again

Just realised something.
Say you lost in round 2 of the Matchplay in 2024, and earned however much prize money that is, and in 2026 you don’t qualify, you’re gonna lose that money your defending. But a player qualifying and losing in round 2 for the first time in 2026 is going to gain the larger prize money onto their ranking, so the swing is going to be massive and probably screw the 2024 2nd round loser because the 2026 round 2 loser will earn much more than he did in the rankings

You are noting the rankings are constantly inflating. In years with bigger prize money increases current form matters more than old results. Which is a good thing as rankings unfairly rely on old results too much anyway.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 4:53 pm Just realised something.

Get rid of seeding in the player championships, drop ET from the protour ranking and start the protour ranking on zero each year, that way you would have some players in great form qualifying for tournaments. Would make it a true honest qualifying way, since every card holder can play all players championships. The Thorn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 5:14 pmYou are noting the rankings are constantly inflating. Now a player that drops from the top 16 OOM can still be high on the Protour since he last year played all the ET tournaments and had some succes in the last players championships of the year.
