I think they’ve already said that the tournament will extend to 8 more sessions.

I hate to admit it, but Porter has said they are not the custodians of the sport, but instead the entertainment business. At the end of the day, everyone has the same opportunities… just keep winning matches and the riches that are presented are available.

If you don’t win matches, you wouldn’t get a career in any sport.

You need 16 sessions to play 5 sets
8 sessions is 8 games a session 3 sets

8 sessions is 8 games a session 3 sets
That's confused me a lot.

It's an extra 32 players, which means an extra 32 matches.

= an extra 8 sessions of 4 matches before Christmas.

They essentially removed the 3rd place prize money.

Nicho v Barrs
Barrs rambling is nearly incoherent but fucks sake Nicho is a slimy little twat
Couldn't have said it better myself. A sickening read
"If you think these players deserve to be paid to attend, that’s your opinion. It doesn’t make you correct."

This is the bit that really tips it in the favour of Nicholson looking an absolute ass kisser.

That said, if only Barrs would have this much conviction when he's interviewing Porter, as CWS pointed out.

Side note, Nicholson hyping up the £1250 for first round floor winners, it's gone up 250 quid  Yes if you multiply it by 32 and then 34 it's a lot of money but it pales compared to the 500k extra for the World Champion, some of which could have been distributed at the lower end.

EDIT: 250 x 32 x 34 = 272,000.

And say the winner of the Worlds gets 750,000 instead of a million.

That 250,000 difference / 32 new tour card holders on average at the start of the year = Immediate £7,812.50 minimum for new tour players.

You could condition it on reaching a certain quota of events played in order to be paid.

Not that I necessarily am a fan of this argument, but it's worth putting out there what is feasible with the injection of money the PDC has received.

never been much of a pdc fan but it was at its best between 2021 and 2023. no taylor mvg or littler dominating. everyone got there day in the sun and the games were played in good spirit. price was a problem but not enough to ruin darts like littler and humphres do. i dont care about the money i just want to see underdogs av there day

The prowler must be seething at the amount of money on offer now compared to the majority on offer of his dominant sickening run.

Wadey winning a million to go with finally winning the world title warms my heart no doubt he will give some of it to a mental health charity as well.

Wade actually promised to donate half his winnings to charities

Fair play to him, 12,500 quid will go a long way
