Is that close to record

Where is wdf world champ in ranked you think he be higher after winning it
Not sure on record but i think they have had 5,000 at one time. McGuirk has nothing else apart from his win so is lower.

3422 last year, and still 2 days to enter. Will probably see some crushed tourcard dreams enter
Women are up 5 to 325
Mens pairs last year 1707 now 1943. Womens up 17 to 191.

Jesus 10 times the amount of mens entries than womens, Does the prize money reflect this or do we still live in an age where mens darts funds womens darts?

Most of the entries are only added to Dart Connect at the end in the States

Sherrock and Menzies went last year. But it's a CT weekend and maybe Sherrock's playing in that.

To answer Brightside's question, yes, there is cross subsidy.
The WDF rule is that women's event should receive no less than 20%. of the prize money.
But I calculate 9340 women v 27600 men, so they're way above that.
They're kept the women's to the minimum Last 32.
Last 64 at 40 euros would have needed another 1280. But instead they added 500 to the winner.

I have counted it last year and I believe only the womens pairs event made a small plus in the difference between entry fee and prize money (couple 100). Whereas they make a killing on the lads. I believe it was about 60K difference for the men's singles and 40K on the pairs. Also made a nice profit on the warming-up. Nowhere on the site it states that it gives WDF its 2$ players levy (which is a mandatory statement), so I doubt the WDF are getting it. Real big moneymaker this.

Not sure what the PDC is allowed to do with the emailadresses in DartConnect, but they could sent them all an email if they wanted to start a DO of their own to compete with the NDB/WDF. People probably jump on it as they can say they have played in a PDC tournament. Might affect DO's numbers then. Not a fan of PDC owning DartConnect.

Would be taking the piss if they paid down to last 64 in the womens as that would mean a lot of players would only need to win one game to get into the money/points where as how many games is it the men would need to get into the money/points? 4 or 5 I think.
