I hope Jehirszki will play. Would be surprising though.

Since 2018 I think it’s been the way they’ve filled up PC events in the event of pull-outs so it’s essential they get it up and running quickly

Oh it was since 2018? I was wondering why Cross and Edhouse weren’t called up for any 2016 Players Championship events. Makes sense now.

Alexander Merkx, Andreas Harrysson, Danny Jansen, Jimmy van Schie, John Henderson, Stefan Bellmont, Dragutin Horvat, Aden Kirk, Darius Labanauskas, Jamie Atkins and Richie Burnett all eligible from last season’s top 20. Not sure what the situation with Lee Cocks is?

Previously they'd used the final q-school OoM (when it was a single OoM) to top up PC fields.

And then again in 2021 when Covid meant that the Challenge Tour was also split in two and started in the summer, hence players like Barstow and the RJRs who just missed out had the consolation of knowing they effectively had a 1-year tour card

Also remember that pre-2020 (or 2021?) the EU Q School was early and the UK Q School was after the BDO Worlds. EU BDO players could choose to attend the UK Q School.

Once they went to the 2-stage system with simultaneous Q School, having the first CT weekend after the Q Schools made a lot more sense as it allowed more of the well-supported, long-distance travellers to stay for one week more and see if it would be worth playing the CT for call-ups.

The entry deadline is 2pm today.

Spots will be available at PC 1-6.

Presumably Dom Taylor will miss them all, so that guarantees 1 spot available at all 6.
