She needs to be seen by a proper doctor mate so you need to be a bit devious.

Take her to A and E but really overstate the symptoms, they'll test her for absolutely everything possible and find out what the real problem is

I'm not shitting you mate, do it. To get the best health care you have to get inside the system and waiting for a high street quack to refer is like waiting for Gaz to praise the BDO!

A and E is the way in if you play the game, learned that with my parents and their ailments

Don't get me wrong we've had run ins at hospitals as well mate, usually with the admin tossers.

One occasion my Dad was in a side room recovering from a heart attack and they wanted to move him to a ward he hated. Luckily I was there at the time and told them they could fuck right off he aint going anywhere. They pleaded that this patient needed the room so I told them to find another room and give that to the patient. Funny thing was a porter turned up and I glared at him, said you can get right out of here as he aint going nowhere! The porter was there to take the old man down for an x ray!

Another occasion they phoned my Mum to tell her they were moving the old man onto the ward he hated from the heart ward. She called my brother and I and we both laid into them. He wasn't moved as they can't move a patient without the patient's consent, or the patient's next of kin.

Then there was a time the old man was in a rehab ward after busting his achilles tendon. I visited on the Saturday lunchtime and could see he wasn't well, with his heart, lungs and kidney conditions any illness was potentially fatal. Being Saturday in a hospital all that's there is part time doctors, the real one's get the weekend off.

I had to threaten to sue this doctor to get a blood test done which came back showing he had a chest infection, to him potentially fatal. The treatment started twelve hours after I initially saw that doctor.

The story is mate, don't take any shit

my ex was in and out of hospital a few times, took them an age to work out what it was.

i was amazed one day at work when she rang and said she had been discharged and her mother was taking her home. not five minutes later her mother rang to say she had collapsed on the ward. on arrival me and the doctor exchanged a few words.

next day she stopped breathing on the operating table, not good times!
