as if the pro tour was not enough

Post by skweezit » Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:13 am

I see john Part nipped over to china (hong kong) and won $12,870 (8,023.85 GBP) recently.
Are there tournaments over there (in your UK) that the pdc pros can shoot in?
I know they can't play in the BDO ones, but are there enough other ones
that they are welcome to play in during the free times that occur during the pro circuit?
or is it mainly just exhibitions?

so it is not uncommon to find pdc guys at the "regular" tournaments?
are the regular tournaments, by which i mean, the ones not associated with the bdo or wdf
just as big as the bdo circuit? guess I imagined most shoots that got to a decent
size or were association hosted would apply for bdo sanctioning to offer and reap the benefits.

The Granite City Open in Scotland is on week after this.Although it has in the past been predominantly a bdo comp it is open to both codes.

Last year it was won by Ross Montgomery,

He appears to be NOT returning this year, Nor is his buddy the spineless cunt adams as a few pdc players are entering.Hendo and pecker are already signed up.

Not uncommon at all Skweezit. As Smiffy said, the players just want to play darts regardless of the code

looked at the flyer for the granite city open and it's listed on the
BDO site. here, if it's listed on the ado site, it's a sanctioned shoot.
but then again over here they're open to everybody cuz that's the law.

when mawson was/is/whatever having his setbacks, my thinking was
that he should come back and string a month of the northeast tournaments
together to enter because it wouldn't matter if he was pdc or not. (this
is probably why darin young is listed on the bdo & wdf tables)
but that won't get him anywhere in the pdc, of course and he had already made
his decision to go east. ya gotta try something dude, which he did.
maybe the dart scene is not such a cut and dry split in england between the
bdo & pdc as I believed it to be.
