What else can one expect from Londoners and the nearby Essex lot, i.e. working class Tories, who worship the likes of Winston Churchill and the circus clown Boris Johnson? In terms of culture, it's a million miles away from South Wales, South Yorkshire and the North East, where Tories are almost as rare as dodos. Churchill is as hated in South Wales as Oliver Cromwell is in Ireland.

Such ignorance of WW2 history. The Red Army (i.e. communists) and Yugoslav Partisans (i.e. communists) won WW2. Churchill himself said that the Red Army tore the guts out the German war machine.

Churchill resisted Franklin D. Roosevelt's demand to open up a western front for ages, because Churchill was more concerned about British imperialism's interests in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea than in wiping out the Nazis.

To say that "no socialist comes close to Churchill" is frankly laughable.

Churchill was in the Conservative Party 1900-1904 and 1924-1965, and in the Liberal Party 1904-1924.
