Evison's been there every year since the second edition (2012), would be surprised if that changes.

"The Q School starts on Thursday (today) and if I am one of the 16 qualifying players I will get a PDC Tour Card and if not I will go back to the BDO," added Williams

"It doesn't matter either way really as I could have another good year in the BDO and build my confidence.

"I got to the semi-final this year so I would like another go at it. However, it is a free go at the Q School for BDO players with no consequences.

"Last year you were suspended by the BDO for 12 months for attending the Q School but this year they are not.

"So pretty much the top 20 from the BDO are all attending the Q School. I'm at a difficult stage where I either make the leap and go for it or keep prodding along.

"I'm burning the candles at both end with work and training so something has to give."

Inwardly he'd have been delighted to get a card whether it be like Jeffrey de Zwaan or like Barrie Bates, but if you're a player as good as Glen, surely you'd be looking to win a day?

His travails will all be forgotten once the season gets going. There'll certainly be less pressure on him for the first few events!

The fact that McGeeney is a regular title contender with mid 80s averages is a sad incitement of the general standard of BDO darts. I cannot see him making the PDC top 50.

Nah. He did have a healthy enough first year but a catastrophic second year. He may have reached the top 70.

McGeeney was 85th on the main OoM heading into the 2020 Worlds. I think his most memorable moment in the PDC was being on the receiving end of this.
