Didn't Humphries win pretty much everything last season?
Humphries started his run at the 2023 World Grand Prix, beating Price 5-2 in the final as an underdog. Humphries won most majors in the following year (2023 Grand Slam, 2023 Players Championship, 2024 World Championship, 2024 World Matchplay), but lost the 2024 UK Open final to Van den Bergh, lost the 2024 Premier League final to Littler, and lost the 2024 World Grand Prix final to De Decker.

He has won 5 me thinks Littler will be overtaking him next year TBH.

And up to world number 5

Depressing drop for Jonathan but let's face it, Littler should be 2nd or 3rd right now. Well overdue surge up the rankings

Littler has got another year yet with virtually nothing to defend in the Order of Merit.

Depends who you define as "old guard"

Anderson- has just put in his best TV performance in years and looks like he'll be top 10 in no time.

Wade- is also on the up and will be top 8 this time next year.

Van Gerwen- has been poor for a while but did reach the Matchplay final and is always solid at the Worlds.

Cross- has hoovered up QFs this year and is a top 4 player.

However,

Wright is finished. Michael Smith and Aspinall both need to win something urgently. Aspinall especially is royally fucked in the long-term rankings. Price needs to find motivation.

I'd say the likes of Chizzy, Clayton, Bunting, Van den Bergh, Noppert, Dobey, Heta, will loiter between 8-16 for the next year or two.

De Decker will be top 16 before long. Van Veen and Edhouse not far behind.

Absolutely sensational stuff, this was arrows from the very highest echelons. How far can he go? All the way to the very top and in my opinion he can dominate for years. It’s pure tungsten magnificence every time he’s at the ochre. What a player he is. Not seen arrows like these since Jockey was in his pomp.

I'm not against slightly smaller segments, old looking young littler would still do well, sure he wouldn't mind that much.
