John Terry's representatives have released the following statement.

"Mr. Terry is disappointed that the FA Regulatory Commission has reached a different conclusion to the clear not guilty verdict of a court of law.

"He has asked for the detailed written reasons of the decision and will consider them carefully before deciding whether to lodge an appeal."

As much as I despise Terry he has a point, how can he be label guilty if the law finds him not guilty.

Difference was Suarez repeatedly called evra a naughty word.

Terry only got caught saying it twice.

at least terry has saved the fa the trouble of "sacking" him from the england set up, which they surely would have had to do.

It will be interesting what the official statement about this says, and what happens next

Can they revise a punishment upwards if it's appealed?

That goes against natural justice. Even in employment law a sanction can't be increased because it's appealed

Not if the panel thinks its a frivolous appeal to defeat the ends of said justice.

Feck him he got off very light. Time foe Suarez to look into suing the FA.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

Then surely if the appeal's deemed frivolous it's just thrown out and justice is upheld?

Nope. He gets hammered for the costs of the appeal & extra games added.

It is well known so as to ward off frivolous appeals.
