That 9940 for 401 tickets at the second Saturday seems wrong, or am I missing something

Missed this at the time, but the total ticket numbers for each of the weekend sessions includes the 'All Day tickets' for that day, to show how many bums are on seats at each session, but the money for each session only reflects the value of tickets sold for that specific session, with the All Day ticket value shown as a separate line. So the crowd numbers for the All Day tickets are counted twice, as they can/will attend each session that day, but the money only gets counted once.

Update on ticket sales with just over two months to go. Well over 5,000 sold for the week, and last year's prize fund is already banked. So, much better than last year at this stage, but as usual the midweek sessions are looking lonely for anyone going. No doubt they will pick up a bit when the line-ups are announced for each day, but they will still be low. Can see all the first weekend sessions, Thursday and the last weekend all doing as well or better than last year.

There was one session last year that didn't reach three figures, can see it happening again this year, but overall the trend is upwards. They should reduce the prices to £10 or something on Tuesday/Wednesday, or give ticket holders later in the week free entry for those earlier sessions, anything to make it look busy really

Last year numbers of the day before the start (source Addicks), so less people have already paid more than last year.

Probably everybody wants to see the weekday afternoons go (maybe with the exeption of Friday/Thursday), but there might be some reasons why they (or the amount of players) have to stay:
-Regions/countries demanding spots based on the regional ranking, because why would they otherwise pay player levies, tournament fees and yearly contributions. The regions far away usually also dont sent a lot of people to the World Masters, so they already dont profit from that.
-Gold events bring in a lot of money because the tournament fee is 2500$ (silver 250, bronze 100), so the WDF want a lot of those, but also keeping other qualifications methods. Gold winners might also be qualified thru the main/regional ranking, so not every gold event takes a spot.
-Lakeside might demand a lot of players, because it will bring in people who stay at the hotel, they might have run the numbers, and probably think it makes them more, even when there is not a big audience. (personally i think it hurts the game a lot, and might affect repeat customers. People who were expecting a party on monday afternoon might never come back, although other sessions are much better).
ADC and the Seniors probably also want to be at the Lakeside, but cant fill those days. But it forces Lakeside to accept the terms to keep the mon-wens/thur afternoons (in the case those terms exists). WDF needs Lakeside.

The WDF has a deal with Lakeside to and including 2025, I dont expect them to change a lot, although a Friday evening has added for this year, probably because they later announced to include 4 more boys and 2 more girls.

For tv reasons (last year there was more camera's and commentaters at Lakeside from Friday onwards) you could drop Monday and move things up and put Thursdays QFs on Friday afternoon. Even without tv it might be better audience wise, and people seeing both Friday sessions might eat at Lakeside, so they like that.
Disadvantage of this is that the women who wins on Friday has her next game on Thursday... So should put people who are likely to win and live in England in the early stages so they can sleep at home and dont have their additional prizemoney eaten up by hotel costs.

Depends on how busy they otherwise are, and if they think it will make them more. Aparrantly there used to be a lot of parties, but they declined, so there might be a bit of room
