The point is, you don't have to pick a side. Both parties to the conflict (Israel and Palestinia/Hezbollah) are utter cunts, convinced that they have a God given right to do what they do.

Israel however likes to present itself (and is generally considered) as a civilised nation / people. Their recent behaviour doesn't show it. The other side don't make any effort in that regard.

Politics since 2016 has depressed me so much to the point that I just don't want to read whatever right wing talking points are circulating around social media.

I don't want to read what left wing loons post either, but there are still at least a few people notionally of 'the left' who are worth listening to. But they are fighting a losing battle
