hard to believe it can be that long.

is the world any better, or worse for all the events that followed it?

11 years? Jesus is it really that long ago. Still fascinates me the documentaries and conspiracy theories.

Can't even begin to comprehend what was going through the jumpers minds when they decided that was the better option than burning to death.

without sounding cruel, it was a horrible thing to happen, all human life being killed for no reason is a terrible thing.

But it was bound to happen at some stage, or something along the lines of terrorism.American foreign policy meant it was inevitable people were gonna retaliate to the yankee war machine and their overbearing rules on world politics.
For years the yanks and their lapdog britain have been responsible for the deaths on a wide scale, and sat back and not gave a flying fuck at the misfortune they created globally, but now the world must weep when its americans suffer..

They brought it on themselves.

maybe i am being naive gaz, but when our military actions leads to civilian deaths it is a result of errors or in the case of situations like dresden, nagasaki etc to prevent more massive loss of life to our troops.

doesnt make it right, but a clear distinction.

I am referring to afghanistan, iraq and countless other countries.
America dictating to the world who can have nuclear power weapons and who cant while they have them.
Who made america the boss.

They are stuck ineverything and everyones business and have an agenda on everything.
Where were these helpful cunts when the slaughter went on in countries like rwanda , thats right nowhere to be seen, as rwanda had nothing worth getting involved for.
The have alienated the majority of the planet and think the whole world revolves around them.

Its unfortunate innocent people died because of the military and government actions, but its was the civilians that put these people in power.

the picking and choosing which countries to "help", rwanda/libya etc is pretty sickening i wouldnt disagree.

as for dictating nuclear weapons, i take your point, but iran/iraq/korea etc? id sooner they didnt have them.

they are the ultimate detrerrent, dont want them in the hands of someone dumb enough to use them.

the un do fuck all about anything, somebody has to "police" the world in their absence?

maybe you are right about stopping the mad countries from developing nuclear weapons and for that maybe we all should be grateful but that dont mean because they might do one or 2 good things we should overlook all the disgraceful actions..

The defense of the jew and persecution of the arab is no accident, the yanks have been proven to be liars on numerous occasions , used the media to bullshit and blindside the sheep of the world into buying into their propaganda. When you invade countries and are responsible for the deaths of innocent people under the lies of things like WMD then is it any wonder these people decide to retaliate and take the fight to american soil.

The very fact we have this thread is proof, here we have a thread in memory of those that died on 9/11 where all all the threads for the innocents killed in the arab world, thats right they dont exist as they aint white or american.

the rights or wrongs of wmd in iraq i still believe the war was just, removing hussein who was happily murdering millions of his own people has to be a good thing. yes, the fact that non oil rich countries are left to suffer is disgraceful but that is a seperate arguement to a degree.

no more people have died in iraq than would have done anyway, at least, however difficult, the country has chance for peace.

On 911 the world is a worse place since, people have had their civil rights removed in the name of national security, people murdered and assets sold to the highest bidder in the name of global stability. Countries invaded and regimes forcefully changed in the name of democracy, all because a man hiding in a cave masterminded a simultaneous attack on the us - or supposedly he did, he then hides from the biggest spy network in history in another cave for years and then when found is killed and his body is strangely dumped and not brought back to be verified.

The wars that 911 facilitated are still going, people are still dying but at least western countries now have control of enough oil, cynical me?

As would not posting in it when banning yourself from posting in it.

Personally I think the main people to blame are the idiots who decided that searches on internal flights are not needed. That was a major security flaw in American Airline policy. It could have been a lot, lot worse.
RIP Tom Hopkins.
