I remember that unacceptable mess vaguely. The end of the Matchplay is a cruel cruel place when playing crap. There have been bad sights down the years.

The result of the 2022 final was horrendous.

Dimitri should have nutted MVG in the semis in 2022 anyway. How he won the tournament I don't know but I'm glad he did because he probab;y won't get through the first round anymore.

Now it's much better. There's dancers and a Hungarian who can count and smiles occasionally.Rogg wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 8:34 pmNo no no, no-one's watching since they got rid of the walk-on girlssennafan24 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 7:40 pm According to Eddie Hearn, the viewing figures for this were "off the charts".
There's an image burned in my brain of Henderson flanked by a pair of walk-on women.

I do like Daniela. I wonder what she thinks about the dancers. Maybe we should liberate them for their own happiness like we did to the grateful walk-on birds.1205 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 1:07 amNow it's much better. Most half-time crowd engagement I saw at a football match was when there were are bunch of children on the pitch at half time playing different sports, and people were watching two girls football teams playing a game across the middle. Could tell how many were watching from the volume of the crowd reaction to a shot going just wide.
So, rather than having dancers, when a game ends, the players and officials leave the stage and some women come on stage to play and mark. Then the crowd and viewers can all the ignore the announcer and walk-on guff, and the women stop playing and leave the stage when the PDC players are ready to warm up.

No, all that's needed is Steve Hine throwing Muffins.1205 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 7:16 pmNobody really cared. We have the Internet.Rogg wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 8:10 amI do like Daniela. Everyone admiringly thought you had come in fancy dress as an egg but you weren't in fancy dress at all.
