Well she deserves to lose her job for sure. It's a tricky one as it never seems as bad when the 'guilty' party is female. And the students were 18 years old in this instance, so I think it would be harsh for her to face criminal proceedings. Losing her job (and career most likely) will be enough punishment I feel.

I went back to college at 40, and was therefore a student, if those students had been 40 would she be facing charges ?

Were there females as well as males involved in the group session?

"One student told WFAA that one of the teenage boys was bragging about the alleged incident and another student put the claim in her diary."

No, and she shouldn't really be in this situation either. I only noticed that they were 18 halfway through my original post. The US is a messed up country in many ways. The 'Stand Your Ground' laws in Florida mean you have killers walking the street. Of course sometimes this is simply self defence, but other times it's cold blooded murder or at least manslaughter.

ok she aint fit to teach but facing 20 years inside for sleeping with adults old enough to fight for their country is very harsh.

I suspect if it happened somewhere other than the state of texas and their over zealous so called religious bullshit it might never have made the courts or at least in this fashion or face the same charges.

Definitely no to facing charges but she should lose her job
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

Her advances were taken in the wrong context by the students, she was only trying to further their education as a teacher should. The students are at fault her.
I blame the parents.

just because they were students,
like I mentioned earlier, what if they were mature students ober the age of 30.

Typical redneck texas ignorant cunts, they act like they are wholesome christians but have no problem supporting wars, lynching black people etc.........

i guess she was in a position of trust, and abused it, she was their teacher not their sex coach, arguing they are 18 is immaterial, losing her job with a suspended sentence would have been more apt though i think

Amazing when you think that the likes of Graham Rix only got 12 months for having sex with a child.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'
