Tuesday night in the pub is steak and a pint for a fiver, makes sense to have a couple!

I never drink alcohol when I eat, I think I'd blow up eating a curry and drinking a pint from the bloatedness. Give me a glass of milk or some juice instead.

Beer first mate, loads of it.

Two 8 ounce rumps with chips etc and two pints for a tenner is seriously cheap. And after the beer you don't really care if it's shit or not

I like gravy and onions with my steak. Don't like it too dry. Hate mushrooms, the texture of them give me the boak.

Like mines with a bit of pink in the middle too, although not too much.

I assume its a good steak? Last time I had one I was in Belfast and it was like chewing gum.

At that price it's the shittest bit of rump you could probably find mate. Bear in mind though we nosh dogmeats and KFC when we're pissed!

Does everyone here eat "structured"? I always make I have cereal and a bit of fruit in the morning, some sort of sandwich on wholemeal bread with a yoghurt at lunch and then a proper dinner at the right time, none of these eating pot noodles or microwave macaroni for dinner at 10 o'clock at night. Drink loads of water too.

I remember only a couple of years ago I would eat shite like greggs sausage rolls for breakfast and stuff my face with frozen pizzas, rustlers burgers crisps and chocolate during the day.

Why mate? I'm rarely ill, haven't seen a doctor for years and never spent a night in hospital

I find it a bit odd for anyone to only be eating once a day, how is your body getting the energy it needs?

It obviously is mate. I walk a few miles every morning with the mutt after a couple of black coffees and feel fine

I try to stick to 3 meals a day. Poached egg on toast for breakfast. Omelette and salad for lunch and a dinner of some sort. Kinda easier having a mess hall on camp but when on nightshift I'll have breakfast at 18.30, usually a roast dinner, then have duty supper about midnight and if hungry about 4am ill grab some cereal
