i packed it up 18 months ago for various reasons, the main one being i couldn't stop drinking,! health reasons had reduced me to a physical wreck from it, my hangovers were brutal, my resistance to drink had gone , miss it the odd time but dont think i could do sensible drinking so i just dont bother with it now

With me I was always drink and drink but when I reached a level I would stop, mid pint if need be and get up and leave, so that by the time i got home i would be getting worse as it fully kicked in.
some days depending on how much sleep , how much food etc i could drink more or in some cases less, but always knew when the time to get out was, hence my falling asleep mostly outdoor on my way home.
I had my own internal homing beacon, but while it worked the body would just say fuck it, i am kipping here.

there is nowt wrong with drink or going on a bender of drink, or someone having a few pints after work, or a event etc, even in gaz's case he knew when the time to stop was even if he was drunk , this was a quality i lacked! the devil in me head says sometimes a couple wont hurt but i dont want to fall into old habits, so i just dont bother

We've all been shitfaced and I don't knock that but there's no need to put yourself in harm's reach. That includes being attacked by tables!

thing is I am the same in that i aint bothered now any more, the pubs are dead, as you might know, no atmospherem the shitty smoking ban and the cost of the pint coupled with the recession and those that are in the pubs are miserable
