REES WAS JUST AS GOOD. WOW. 97 AVERAGE IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 1978, USING 32 GRAM DARTS, ON TREBLES 65% SMALLER THAN TODAY. VAN GERWEN WOULD STAND NO CHAHNCE. HE WOULDNT AVERAGE MORE THAN 90 ON THEM BOARDS USING THEM DARTS.

I agree to an extent. Some people especially on internet sites like Twitter and Reddit claim he is the best player ever, which just isn't true.
In general though I don't think he's that overrated, but now he's nowhere near as good as he was once. I agree with the claim that he's not as good as he thinks he is.
