The eight quarter-finalists from each day qualify automatically for the final stage.
The remaining places to make 128 for the final stage are decided by the points List, with one point being awarded per win from the first full round drawn without byes.

Stage 1 tables last year. 3 points plus a vaguely decent leg difference seems a decent target.

I honestly love q school week. Most of it spent on dartconnect and the odd look on here for the meltdowns/comments. It's like Xmas again

I wonder if Jamie Clark will turn up somewhere this year. He won his card so impressively that there must be something about him.

UK Q-School tips:
Lennon
Scutt (both were good in 2023 after a shaky 2022, should be too good for this level)
Spellman (if you can top the CDC you are one hell of a player, obviously it has no top end talent that you'd see in the PDC, but plenty of names from that tour in recent years have either been very solid on the ProTour or have beaten ProTour players on TV)
Crabtree
Hendo
Boulton
Dom Taylor
Hurrell
Pilgrim
(All have had good years on the Challenge Tour, and Crabtree, Boulton, Taylor and Pilgrim have done well when given the opportunities on the ProTour)
Waites
Killington
Evetts
Murnan (none are the sexiest choices, sorry Potter's Lake! Still, Killer, Waites and Evetts were competitive enough in 2023, and Murnan is just an inevitability isn't he?)

They have broken down every player's chance of winning a card into a percentage:

I agree with all of them, except for Murnan, he was miles off it last year and chucks too many turds. I hope i'm wrong and hope he finds something!thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 3:39 pm UK Q-School tips:

Huge +1. Then onto the Challenge Tour on the Friday after where disasters can be fixed across a further 5 events.

Our support will go to Max Arsenijevic instead

Mario
Szagański (much like Lennon and Scutt, should be too good for this level)
Kist (seems his injury is behind him, horribly unlucky at the Worlds lol, very good 2023 on both the main tour and the Challenge Tour)
van Dongen (not quite as good as the three above, but still made the Worlds via the ProTour)
Plaisier (immensely talented, more so than a lot of tour card holders, one day it's going to all come together at Q-School for him, and I hope it's this week)
Tricole (I'm higher on him than most, and I think there's less pressure on him this year considering Labre has already won a tour card, and considering he's already done good things on the TV in 2023, think this is finally the year he gets over the line)
de Graaf (very good in the second half of last year, the NB tour seems to have helped him immensely)
Drue Reus (been threatening to do something for a while now, excellent at the World Cup and ended up 3rd on the NB tour after a strong end to the season)
Białecki (been banging the drum for him for a long time, been there or thereabouts for a few years now)
Robb
Puha (totally dominant in New Zealand, shown flashes on the World Series, time for a step up. I'll be honest, I'm less confident about these two than most of the others on here, I pencilled them in once I saw the EU Q-School had more cards on offer, but still, I don't see any reason they can't get cards)
Baetens (one of the best players without a card at the moment, so so consistent throughout 2023)
Landman (very streaky, I only picked him when I realised I had put Raman's name twice, but still, anyone who can almost qualify for the Worlds despite not being able to play in all events, and can get to the Lakeside final will be there or thereabouts)
Rusty-Jake
Darius
Kciuk
Raman (like the group involving Waites and co that I posted about in the UK Q-School, if you're a tour card loser who didn't look completely out of your depth on tour, you're among the favourites)
I promise you, I am not American, Polish or Kiwi, and I was not paid by PDC Nordic and Baltic to make this post!
