The semi-finals weren't great, in truth, but most of it from the last 16 onwards was a very good watch.

They were not great in terms of drama, but I did appreciate Littler and Humph's performances in them.

I appreciated that quality on show but I prefer a good contest. Neither semi-final fit that particular bill but a lot of the last week or so has. I've enjoyed it a lot, more so than a fair few of the recent renewals.

The tournament was ruined really by bang average players like Dolan and Williams taking out big names with one off performances. Really wanted to see an MVG Humphries semi final but that prick Williams had to ruin it.

Randall probably enjoyed Taylor vs Painter the most.

That one felt epic and a rollercoaster. Taylor down 0-2, 1-4 and 3-5, wins 7-6.

Great final with two best players in tournament both playing to a really high standard.

In many ways it reminded me of the Van Gerwen v Taylor final in 2013 where MvG was 4-2 up in sets and missed dart at D16 at 2-2 in that set which would have put him 5-2 up.

After that Taylor, just like Luke Humphries tonight, got stronger and stronger as match went on and from 4-2 down he won last 5 sets in a row.

Humphries seems like a decent guy and young Luke if he can keep his head right and feet in the ground could become an all time great but let's just see.

This might be tbf, there's been a story for the ages which has captured the imagination of the whole country, and plenty of great darts and fantastic matches even aside from Littler

Well done to Humphries. He deserved to win but what a huge disappointment. I switched the TV off the second the winning dart went in. I love sport and like to see rare freakish things being done. Such a shame Littler couldn't get it done.

I agree, I'm gutted Littler didn't win, Humphries deserved it, Littler will remember that double 2 for a 5 2 lead as long as he lives

He probably won’t if he has a great career with a few world titles to boot.
