4 weekends in Hungary, Kovács and Kádár can collect points locally easily for the Eastern European rankings for Lakeside again.

Re: 2024 WDF Calendar
Wonder how England Darts/Tri Nations are doing these days?
I know England had trouble financially over some World Cups, and downgrading some tournaments.
Think entry numbers that I saw this year most WDF tournaments held up well entrywise, but with PDC expanding still and obviously the ADC and other stuff it might be tough prize money wise.

That's good, hopefully the start of some recovery.oche balboa wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 2:34 pmEngland are bringing back their comps in 2024IndyCarDavid wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 2:33 pm Wonder how England Darts/Tri Nations are doing these days?

Think there's room for all the current tournaments, PDC Challenge/Development/Nordic and Baltic/PDC Europe Next Gen/all the other affiliated mini tours + WDF + ADC + Modus too
More choice for all players to find their levels and progress.
Would be ideal to have at least two more WDF televised events though.

Re: 2024 WDF Calendar
Without a doubt. The England Darts event were really good and better run then the BDO events of the time. Tommy Thompson is too long in the tooth & there needs to be a younger face at the helm. I enjoyed the England National finals in September back in the day. Plenty of stage experience for players

England darts have a limited budget, and did quite well the latter years of the BDO stream wise. Even got some of the SIx Nations and Opens on FrontRunner TV.
WDF need to get at least the last day of the World Masters on proper TV. Might just be wishful thinking budget wise, but would be good to slowly build again

Re: 2024 WDF Calendar
I agree I think the last 2 days on tv for world masters
Men’s last 16 lady’s last 8 but I can’t see that either
As for world championship I think 32 men’s 16 ladys enough
You can have top 20 ranked then 8 men’s from local tables and 4 qualifiers
Lady’s top 10 ranked number 1 North American 1 New Zealand 1 Australia 1 Eastern Europe 2 qualifier
This will hopefully increase standard in both comps
And get rid Monday to Wednesday to Thursday afternoon sessions that hard to sell

Re: 2024 WDF Calendar
Yeah I think most people are in agreement about cutting down WDF Worlds entries/sessions. Some of those midweek afternoon sessions didn't look great or play great.Foggs3355 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 3:06 pm I agree I think the last 2 days on tv for world masters

Think they'll find it hard to format the Worlds if they do go for a reduction.oche balboa wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 3:24 pm - Cut down the midweek session or get rid of them

The priorities should be the Worlds and the Masters.
Could do with another Zuiderduin type tournament, or something with a bit of coverage. I guess they've got that Australian tournament these days.
