Let's hope Baetens wins. He would be a deserving world champion and a huge improvement on Warren and Duff

Baetens higher than a lot of the champions during the period when the BDO was stronger than the PDC. Interesting.

Re: Tournament averages of post split bdo/wdf pretend world champions
If we compare his tournament average to those who played on similar boards, it currently exceeds the tournament averages posted by Warren in 2020, Duzza in 2017, Waites in 2016, Mitchell in 2015, and Duff in 2022.
It's not as strong as Duzza's in 2018 or 2019, and smidgen off Bunting's in 2014. No disgrace in that, Duzza was a top 10 player worldwide when he posted those averages.
Tie all that together, and Baetens is on course to be one of the stronger performing BDO/WDF Champs of the past decade. Of course he has to win tonight, but I'm pretty certain he will.

Headshaker's tournament average in 2003 is very impressive, especially when you consider the boards he was playing on compared to the champs 2014 onward.
