If I still got pissed off at Luke winning darts matches I’d be a miserable man, decided to give that up by about March

It's boring if everyone likes or hates the same players
Even Lice deserves a couple fans...just so we can laugh at them

I predict that James Cook, the great Plymouth darter who nearly beat Phil Taylor at an exhibition in Bodmin, will earn a tour card with ease at Q school in 2024.

Re: 2023 Darting Predictions
It could have been worse, for a lot of the season he was struggling to even qualify for the Worlds. I think the reason why he hasn't been as spectacular this season is because there is more pressure on you when you win your card compared to when you're a top up player, but his class did tell in the end

He played without pressure last year as he didn't have a card and playing Modus and for England helped himthegentle wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 9:41 pmIt could have been worse, for a lot of the season he was struggling to even qualify for the Worlds. Playing whatever you want every week keeps you a lot sharper than, pro tour event. Month off. Pro tour. That’s the likely main reason he wasn’t as good

So you agree people are better off in Modus than a tour cardTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:21 am Playing whatever you want every week keeps you a lot sharper than, pro tour event. Month off. Pro tour. That’s the likely main reason he wasn’t as good

Re: 2023 Darting Predictions
If you’re not in events every week aka outside the top 64 then yes you can probably maintain a higher standard off the tour than on it, but modus doesn’t make much of a difference as that’s 1 week out of 13The Thorn wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:24 amSo you agree people are better off in Modus than a tour cardTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:21 am Playing whatever you want every week keeps you a lot sharper than, pro tour event. Re: 2023 Darting Predictions
The issue with a lot of darts players is whether they can do the Pro Tour next year as its in Midweek due to their jobs
I wouldn't be a player who wants to stay for modus super series. You get 1/2 chances every 13 weeks. granted its 4 weeks a year and you will play between 60-90 matches on that stage but its not a real career move unless you win it.
