Re: Boxing
Does anyone think that Fury was shit on purpose to make Usyk underestimate him?
It would be such a Fury thing to do and like Randall said, were they really going to have Fury lose on points under any circumstances?

Re: Boxing
I had typed out a round be round score but then my phone logged me out so I clearly got the math wrong
I think 3 and 8 were clearly Francis, I think I have him 1 more and the last even with the rest fury
Whatever that adds up to

Furys jab won the middle rounds
Big rounds in 3 and 8 for Francis
It was so ugly with so much holding and posturing that the cards can be understood
With so much stacked on the usyk fight fury was never going to be allowed to lose
Remember round 3 was 10-8 Ngannou with the knockdown.
If you scored 4 rounds to Ngannou, 5 for Fury, and the 10th even, then like HJ you scored it a draw.

Re: Boxing
Why hasn’t Senna put his scorecard ? He falsified one to try to claim I said it was a draw, yet won’t even say who he actually thought won the fight?

Re: Boxing
My own opinion is Fury grossly overestimated Ngannou and trained accordingly. What was evident was how strong Ngannou was and Fury couldn’t maul and bully him, he had to revert to jabbing on the outside and picking up the points. Against Usyk he will be able to use his strength to better effect.
As bad as Fury was, he won at least 6 rounds for me. I gave the 10pm a draw which could have been given either way. Ngannou for me won the 3rd (10-8) the 7th and 8th.

Re: Boxing
Fury won the fight purely with his jab in a lot of round
He only clearly lost 2 rounds 3 and 8 1 2 and 7 could have gone either way
10 literally nothing happened

Re: Boxing
In terms of matching up with usyk I think usyk fights at higher tempo, is better technically with a bigger engine
Fury being so big may cancel all that out.

There is an element of that too from Fury but you should never underestimate your opponent in any fightHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 12:55 pmMy own opinion is Fury grossly overestimated Ngannou and trained accordingly. Ngannou did himself proud, though
And I can’t remember the name of the Irish geezer that was on the panel with Lennox Lewis and Laura Woods but he said that Ngannou won in his opinion

Usyk defends well on the inside though.
Fury has been slowing for a while now. But fighting the ghost of Del Boy and the overrated Whyte has covered that up. I can easily see Usyk's speed giving him issues on the outside; constantly turning him, etc.

Re: Boxing
I scored it a draw.
The 116-112 scores were generous to Cordina imo.

Maybe they could add the rematch between James ‘lights out’ Toney v Donovan’Razor’ Ruddock on the bill ?Randall wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 6:50 pmIt's clearly not the fights the division needs
