would it not be cheaper to go by train, considering the price of petrol and the hassle ?

surprising , nope trains are extortionate its even cheaper to fly to southampton than it is to get the train

train twice as expensive. Plus i can claim expenses upfront for going and if i get the train they just send me a ticket for it , whereas if i drive i can claim upto the value of a standard open return and that is £446 for the standard open return , and it ll cost me around £80 on petrol each way which leaves me £280 to waste on booze while im there so im not spending any of my own cash , plus i get £25 a day for food so ill be good for my drink.

Also my course finishes on friday 3rd August , so my wife getting my son , and going to fly down to gatwick and ill go pick them up and then we are going to spend the long weekend at Lego Land in windsor and chessington world of adventure.
