I was okay with Aspinall being in the "sort of player you have to beat to win" category, not ready for him moving to the "sort of player to win" category.

Both good guys. Wanted Jonny but can’t fault Nathan. Done what he needed to do to win. All played in a good spirit as well. Clayton will win more majors than Asp.

Out of interest, anyone know what Aspinalls average was in the first 10 legs compared to the final 14?

Aspy averaged 110.5 in session 3 to go 5-5 --> 10-5.

From memory he was averaging about 93 at 5-5.

Aye they werent as good as I though.

First ten legs - 4,345 points in 141 darts = 92.44 3da
Final fourteen legs - 6,976 points in 212 darts = 98.72 3da

The final four legs cut it down considerably - 1,966 in 68 darts = 86.74 3da

Very impressive from the Asp happy for him to win it I was surprised though I expected the ferret to win the final but playing like that Asp totally deserved it!
