Worlds, Matchplay, Grand Slam, World Cup the top 4 for me in no ordersennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 11:18 pm+1
The Worlds is bloated and the PL is stale.
Only event I enjoy nearly as much is the UK Open.

The Matchplay is a very satisfying experience and I love it. Frustration and suffering are all part of it. No bells and whistles needed. To jackie -

Open draw makes it more interesting, even though the format is obviously a lot shortersennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 11:18 pm+1

Matchplay is the true masters event. It's has the best players playing and the best in form. Worlds is an event to showcase players across the world. My favourite PDC event now is the UK Open (Just wish it would include more players)

1.World Champs
2.Matchplay
3.Slam
4.UK Open
5.Grand Prix
Only non ranking one I enjoy is the World Cup
PL, Masters and World Series Finals are totally pointless.

Agreed
I think if Sky ever gave up one of their events to ITV, it would be the Grand Prix
Desperately needs to get out of Leicester (

Qualification criteria identical to Matchplay, why not (if they go back to Dublin eventually) have Top 16, ProTour 12 and top 2 NI and ROI each, now we have strength in depth- rather than Felix McBrearty and Connie Finnan clogging like the old days. You'd get Barry and Rafferty but also Mansell and O'Shea but that's still decent enough.
Or move it to Holland/Belgium and invite top 4 from Europe- you could get Pikachu, Mario and Van Veen which would be great for the tournament's profile business wise.
Small suggestions might go a long way

Had taken a dip before Leicester but that sent it further into declineDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 12:13 pmAgreed

Format is fine
Its comparable to Matchplay and Slam when you factor in its double in as well so longer legs
