Off to the supermarket.....
To buy a joint of meat. Whats your favourite?
For the family its usually pork, but personally a leg of lamb get the juices flowing.

Shoulder of lamb mate, more flavour than the leg

They still are so a shoulder's gonna come in around a couple of quid more. They need a bit longer cooking as the meat isn't as naturally tender

i'm a gammon man, not a great chef so better at eating it than cooking it

Shoulder of lamb is good, pork loin & belly, topside beef is excellent also.

Pig loin goes very dry very quickly as there's no fat in it. The best beef joints are Aitch Bone, the closest cut to rump or Top Rump. Both are rare to find now as there's few real butchers about.
Beef Skirt is also brilliant if you can find it, a few minuits either side on a hot pan is all it takes
