2012 is one of the best finals I've ever seen too. Partly because I'm partial to long format leg play as opposed to set play, but aprtly just off the strength of the final
That was the weekend the London Olympics began. Pheel was fairly lame and Wadey should have had him but also under-performed which was frustrating.

When 98.97 over 33 legs is considered under-performing you know Taylor was great at Blackpool around that period.

He missed loads of double as I recall and gave Wade loads of chances. Wade was way off and still got to 15-15 I think. He should have won, unless Taylor was just toying with him for the sake of the show of course.

Heard a lot of things about what is happening with the BDO, a lot of rumour, conjecture, guesses and outright lies.
Sifting through it all there are some quite reliable sources with some real eye opening info, i'm guessing they will be announcing a major backer and 8 new events during Lakeside but there is definitely more to come and some things that when they come out will make the fanboys apoplectic, even i am struggling with what i know to be true!
I can see why players will have shelved plans to switch and i do think the BDO will become quite attractive to some players from the PDC though i think that will be longer term, these guys need to show what they are trying to do will last.

Of course i wanted it to be true, why do you think i kept what i knew to myself (and others did), because until it actually fell apart there was always a chance.

I had no knowledge of Warren at the time so nothing to research, the ludicrous claims you mention of sickening figures as far as I know are still true.
You don't know what I was referring to so you choose to attribute it to your own agenda.
I have said it before there is more to this than you know, it will come out eventually no doubt then I can tie the strands together and you can finally look at it from my point of view.
You will see I'm not deluded at all.

Have to say: apart from VDB - Gilding and Floppert - Dolan, that would be tasty first round games. Very strong line-up of OOM qualifiers this year

Floppert :) I used to call him that.

We had a stats thread for last year's Matchplay but someone was in such a huff about segment sizes and Phil Taylor that I pledged never to bother again. They won't even remember of course and that is the final insult. It was a fabulous tournament last year.
