I've only watched a handful of games. As I've made clear, this tournament isn't my cup of tea.

Even so, I have to agree that the new format is superior.

No doubt best pairing won. Great change to format, made it much more interesting. Belgium Netherlands and wales belgium semi both belters.

Only thing i didnt understand was being seeded in the groups and then an open draw for second round.

Great improvement though.

Yeah I found that odd too. It put Netherlands, Belgium and Australia in the same quarter which is a bit harsh.

I quite liked the jeopardy that it brought, but I think they'll change it for next year
