He shrunk Bristow's arse twice, battered Woodhouse and had him pleading for a rematch, stood up to Kong, and won the Oxford Singles without dropping a leg in a closely contested final.
But can he master the ADC?
But can he master the ADC?
The day the world stood still:

At the club tonight. Ladies league match, PL on the screen and DBG no show on the tablet.
2 out of 3 ain't bad. I have wine gums, dandelion & burdock and monster munch.
Plus the darts buffet to follow.

He turned up, he played, he won his group, his won his 1/4 final, he led 2-0 and missed match darts in the semi and it was all over.
Mark the date - Thursday 18th May 2023
DBG returned with running average of 63.97
What a Legend!

I think we all expected a similar average on Dave's first try, getting to the semis he will take that.

I will take winning more games than I lost but disgusted at my averages, The rustiness showed with all the missed darts at doubles I had and my knee gave in half way through my 3rd match so it was a minor miracle I managed to carry on and win the group, My balance was totally gone and everything was a struggle after that, 6 months since I last threw a competitive dart I was not expecting much but the fight in me is clear to see, I didn't get rolled over in any game I played tonight and could and should have won every single game I played so that is something to look at as a positive, Now I just have to rest up for a few days and see when I am able to have another go.
As for Odd Job...Fucking prick, His first lot of efforts he didn't do anywhere near as good as I did tonight and I have a fucking leg brace on and can barely walk, take your pick now lads...Who do you really think will win between me and Odd Job??

Thought you threw some great darts after such a long lay off DBG and all in all a good day at the office- You can only beat what is put in front of you but that was a very weak field last night as only 5 of the 24 players averaged 60 or higher with 10 averaging 30s and 40s, lowest average at Coventry on Tuesday was 55daveboygreen wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 12:24 amI will take winning more games than I lost but disgusted at my averages, The rustiness showed with all the missed darts at doubles I had and my knee gave in half way through my 3rd match so it was a minor miracle I managed to carry on and win the group, My balance was totally gone and everything was a struggle after that, 6 months since I last threw a competitive dart I was not expecting much but the fight in me is clear to see, I didn't get rolled over in any game I played tonight and could and should have won every single game I played so that is something to look at as a positive, Now I just have to rest up for a few days and see when I am able to have another go.

Dodger having a little cry there. Thing is any half decent player thinks they're capable of giving anyone a game, then reality kicks in and mid 60's averages become the norm. Well done last night. I never once knocked your game nor did I take the piss. I was cheering for you and seeing you'd missed match darts I didn't laugh at you or say you bottled it like you would and have me. Itś in the moment like mabbsy says. Your chance came and you didn't take it.
Injuries, Oh I know all about them as every time I play something is not quite right with my body but I soldier on and what will be will be. As I said last night, I hope your body heals and you move on to your next match.
You were doing so well until having a dig and posting shite about who will win in our match that will never happen? Going by ADC 2023 recorded stats it would be a battle of two mid 60's has beens/never were's.
I'm comfortable with my running level as I know it can increase by double digits, whereas you're 50% below your usual 100+ average.
Good chatting with you and congratulations on your efforts last night. The stop start short format can take it's toll on the body. 18 pints in, I'd say you did well. I wouldn't lie, honest, mate
