Madhoo & Fitzgerald start off with a 4-0 win, same for Brazil's Valle & Amaro

He did 3 times. 2004, 2010 and 2011. Fitzgerald played in 2009.

I think we can confirm the other Brazilian duo (Luppi & Wentz) won't be in contention

However Costa Rica's Soto & Calderon are making a strong claim for the pole position

Last leg for Costa Rica being a 29 darter drags it down a bit, but 65 average still the strongest of the field so far

A bit of a shame Barbados are not in this. They had multiple players playing in the PDC Worlds in the 2000s. Most notably Anthony Forde who has actually won a game on that stage in 2008, beating Japan's Akihiro Nagakawa. Nagakawa's name will be familiar for some forum members.

73 average for Calderon & Soto in their second game. Yes, they are the pair to beat.

Calderon and Soto (ie. Cauldron and Sooty) could spring a surprise for Costa Rica.

It's Fireman Soots in disguise. Explains the average in the 70s

Now now, original Soots is a great player on his day.
