I'd say it's impossible to say who was the best fast bowler ever. You can really only judge those you've seen anyway .

I never saw Sobers play obviously but anyone who did will tell you he was the best. I've even seen people rate him as the best cricketer ever.

Kallis has similar batting and bowling averages to Sobers but I always thought he was a bit overrated. He racked up a lot of runs against pretty ordinary teams and I never rated his bowling very highly.

I don't want to bring up toy pitches but the fact is older players played on sub standard ones
Sobers never had his average inflated playing Zimbabwe, Bangladesh etc either
