Surely this is a mistake??
When it's really
27 including 8 automatic

He qualified for the UK Open once and got dicked by Big Willie O'Connor. So he's officially the most successful dart player who's a regular poster ever to be on the forum

Re: 2023 PDC Q-School
I wonder how much of an advantage, if at all, it is to qualify for the final stage as early as possible, there's the tradeoff between getting enough match practice (although I suppose quite a lot of these players are playing in some way shape or form before Q-School) and being overcooked come the end of the week

Re: 2023 PDC Q-School
Some stats
Exempt- 12/32 (37.8%)
Day 1- 5/32 (15.6%)
Day 2- 3/32 (9.4%)
Day 3- 2/32 (6.3%)
OOM- 10/32 (31.3%)
- As many players got cards after Stage 1 automatic qualification as Order of Merit qualifications.
- 20/32 winners played in Stage 1 vs 12/32 who were exempt.
- 5/8 automatic tour cards were won by exempted players.
- Only 1 player (Josh Rock) won an automatic card after automatically making it past Stage 1.
- Both players who placed 3rd on the Stage 1 OOMs won cards, Kevin Burness and Jimmy Hendriks.
- The lowest player on any Stage 1 OOM to win a card was Brian Raman (55th).
- The top two on both the UK and EU Stage 1 OOMs failed to win cards- Danny Lauby and Simon Stevenson (UK) and Johan Engstrom and Alexander Merkx (EU).
- 5 players retained their cards in the UK- Wilson, Webster, Evetts, Waites and Mansell. Only 1 retained his in Europe- Krzysztof Kciuk.
- Everyone who lost a final went on to win their card anyway on the OOM. Mario Vandebogaerde lost two finals.

So going off last year's statsthegentle wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 8:50 pm I wonder how much of an advantage, if at all, it is to qualify for the final stage as early as possible, there's the tradeoff between getting enough match practice (although I suppose quite a lot of these players are playing in some way shape or form before Q-School) and being overcooked come the end of the week
- Being exempt to Stage 2 and starting fresh is the biggest advantage
- Finishing on the Stage 1 OOM, with extra match practice, gives an advantage over automatic Day 1, 2 or 3.
- Automatic on Day 1 for greater rest is more advantageous than Days 2 or 3.

Re: 2023 PDC Q-School
Jagicza can have a good run tomorrow with a bit luckier draw, if he plays like today. Lakatos seems totally hopeless unfortunately. Where is his Sousa beating and his early 2022 DT form?

Re: 2023 PDC Q-School
You can see pros and cons for both sides.
End of the day Final stage players are the better players for the most.
The quality players from stage 1 probably have the quality and stamina to earn a card.
But it is still 27 cards from 850 entrants. No guaranteed route.
