2023 Exemptions to Stage 2 of Q-School

UK

Scott Mitchell

Gordon Mathers
I was surprised that Mitchell didn't do enough in two years to keep his card, but when he dropped off, expected him to go down the Modus/Seniors route.

As much as I like the guy, no idea why BLM would want to do the tour again. He only qualified originally on the OOM and that was down to a deep run on one of the days. Fair play for moving to the UK and giving it a go, but with a young family at home and not picking up much in prize money, hardly seems worth the sacrifice to do it all again.
I know what you mean mate. Would’ve surprised me too if I gave a shit about darts.

It's a dream for a lot of people. At that point you are reasonably close to playing on big stages and making a living from darts. I think some players will persist even if it's unlikely they will make it big time. Mathers has my support

DFR did you update them because you forgot or because they confirmed they’re attending?

Would surprise me if Mathers went again. But Mitchell can make a good living on the tour if he gets a bit of confidence back

Mitchell was very poor at Ally Pally and that seems to follow in 2022. 2021 was actually a decent year if he did that again he would be close to the top 50. Not great mind

I'd convert to Beatonism if he struck down McDonald.

The PDC give no fucks who wins through Q School as long as they have their elite players marketing their product with carrot dangled world series ventures around the world.
WDF is fucked. ADC is the future.
Friday 19th May 2023 - Finally free of the bull shitting no mark of a dart player.

Suspect team: CT1 Filip Sebesta - Greg Ritchie - Jeroen Mioch - CT2 Sean Fisher - Charlie Martin - CT3 Owen Bates - CT4 Thibault Tricole

If anyone on here suddenly became so good, constantly winning with averages plenty good enough to challenge for a tour card would you go to Q School?

ADC seem to be escaping a lot of criticism

They proposed 5 events

World Championship
National Finals
World Open
“Royal Rumble”
British International Championship

All 5 didn’t happen. They have gone from gliz of having a bit launch to just being a Qualfication comp for Modus Super Series. Fine I’m a fan of what they are doing but it’s a come down from what is proposed & they escape criticism when they had backing and haven’t put on TV/Stream event yet when WDF have had two in the period.

I don't think even most people on here will be aware of those

I still only mostly remember their stupid belts

Personally I don't really care for what ADC call their events, or what the format is etc. What's important is they provide competitive regular action for players who aren't on the tour, as well as a reasonable amount of prize money. They provide that, that's all that matters really
