That's true only as long as the game is close and excitingDfc180 wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 3:54 pmThat's not true. Massive averages don't make better games. A few missed darts here and there make games exciting. There's nowt worse than watching 2 players hold throw every leg with a 12 darter. The Thorn wrote:What about a 90 average beating a 80 average Ain't there nothing exciting about that

All the top lads around here play in all the pub leagues every week and always have done so must be some merit in it.
Each to their own.
Each to their own.

Mabbsy....I would bet if there was a money league or comp on the same night as any of the leagues then these top lads wouldn't turn up to play league darts!!

ThirstyMatt agrees although he isn’t very good at cash games.daveboygreen wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 7:05 pm Mabbsy....I would bet if there was a money league or comp on the same night as any of the leagues then these top lads wouldn't turn up to play league darts!!

Re: Is darts overrated
Good thread. I'm in agreement with DBG on this. Each to their own in what level they choose to play. Never been an real money in darts apart from those who climb the ladder in pdc. Enter a holiday camp comp and like the local comps you'll run into a wall of pdc or former pdc players the deeper you go. All this with the chance to win 1 piece of silver, or as it's Christmas a turkey stuffed with cranberry and thyme
Friday 19th May 2023 - Finally free of the bull shitting no mark of a dart player.

I still enjoy a good game but I look at the line ups this week and it just dies nothing for me
