Off the top of my head, Webster, Part, Mason are the only darts commentators I enjoy listening too. Gobshite Mardle is too far up MVG's arse. Dawson, Nicho, Smith, etc are dreadful.

I agree with Webby and JP but Mason is one of the most biased wankers out there his rimming of Lice is embarrassing.

Mason has never really annoyed me as a commentator.

The exception came when he was paired with Nicho to do Lakeside. As a pair, they were horrendous.

I like Gobshite Mardle when he's with another ex dart player but with studd, smith ,Turner etc he's annoying as fuck

+1, MarDell's at his best with Part. Part brings out his serious side and Mardle brings Part's dry and lesser spotted humour.

With Turner, he's sickening. Like a nervous schoolboy with blue balls.

But I like him, even if he's biased as fuck and tries way too hard to be funny. He does know a lot more about the tour than the other commentators tho on tv, except your Webster's, Dawson's and Mason.

TBH I honestly think Rod Studd is the ultimate worst commentator now and that might be controversial.

Pyke- rims Sherrock too much and sounds like he's gorging on phallus, but seems a good bloke in real life.

Rawling- completely useless and knows next to nothing about darts. But his voice isn't a bad fit at all, if he just weren't senile and actually did some research instead of making basic errors.

Smith- far, far too shouty. The wrong voice for darts and he also clearly knows fuck all about checkouts. But, he's not on as often as the others and I don't think his chemistry with other commentators is *too* bad.

The worst of the lot is Studd

Studd- On one hand, you feel bad for him because he's clearly not the same commentator since the stroke, so you give him a bit of slack for his communication skills/thought processes etc.

But that slack is eroded by the facts-

A- He doesn't shut the fuck up to even breathe, directly talking over his co-commentors constantly.

B- He has awful chemistry with Part and Webster, especially Part. It just seems really awkward between them as a pair. When he's with others, he tries far too hard to be funny.

C- He blatantly rims too many players like Callan Rydz and Joe Cullen.

D- He is and was the most sickening on the Sherrock gravy train.

E- His voice is awful to listen to. Just drones on and on and on with no emotion compared to Pyke or even Rawling.

F- To top it all off, he's a massive prick on Twitter and is very passive aggressive/dismissive of legitimate opinions. Incredibly self-entitled.

Nicholson might be a narcissist and spouts endless irrelevant bollocks, but he doesn't act a cunt on certain players, is definitely not biased for any of the top players and keeps a low profile in his personal life/social media.

He's very annoying to listen to though tbf.
