Tour Card Race 2022
With the GP upon us, lets talk about who may be departing the land of proper darts at the end of the year.
https://www.dartsrankings.com/postwch
RJR and Rock have completed the top 64 in one year trick, and Williams is just about set to join them without a card. Sedlacek will prob need a win at both the euro championship and the worlds to get there.
On the negative side (or positive depending on how you look at it), some names we may be losing are:
Dead certs:
de Vos
Steve Pest
MBF Hudson
Glenda
Very likely:
Max Flopp
Baggish
JdZ
Mathers
Koltzov
Probable:
Hendo
Hunt
Boulton
JLowe
Right on the cusp:
Jeff
Mitchell
Murnan
Ron the Knob
Mrs Keegan
Still a fair few events for things to develop, but these look like the names to watch for the drop.

Re: Tour Card Race 2022
I'd still expect
Kuivenhoven
JDZ
Jeff Smith
Boulton
Hendo
Baggish
To get them back all still playing to a level capable of winning a card.

Re: Tour Card Race 2022
Hendo, Baggish and JDZ might do a Dirk/Uter tbf
All 3 playing the best they've done in 2 years right at the end. Should bounce back with a vengeance.
Kuivenhoven and MeinKampf also should get their cards back no problem bc Euro Q School is hideous

Re: Tour Card Race 2022
Lewy Williams: already has a card for next year via the Development Tour, but is probably going to be safe in the top 64 unless a few players go on decent runs. If he holds on, Jurjen van der Velde has a tour card for the next two seasons
Murnan: probably fucked if he doesn't qualify for Ally Pally but almost certainly safe if he does make it
Gawlas: touch and go if he doesn't win another game on TV, will probably be safe with one win, especially if it's at the Worlds
Keegan Brown: probably fucked if he doesn't win a TV game, but a TV win would strengthen his case, especially if it's at Ally Pally
Scott Williams: Safe for next year via the Challenge Tour, probably needs to win at least a game on TV to secure a top 64 spot (and a tour card for van Trijp), and has decent opportunities to do that money at Wolves, Minehead and Ally Pally
Meulenkamp: almost certainly fucked if he doesn't qualify, but almost certainly safe if he does make it
Kuivenhoven: fucked if he doesn't make it (barring people pulling out), but almost certainly safe if he does make it
Zonneveld: fucked if he doesn't win a game on TV, touch and go if he wins his first round game at Ally Pally, obviously winning a game or two at Minehead would help his cause, but he's one of the lower seeds
Mitchell, Borland and Jeff Smith: qualifying for Ally Pally might be enough, but in all likelihood they'd need to win at least one game
Nentjes: has a tour card secure anyway via the Development Tour, he might gatecrash the top 64 if he wins his first round game and give a tour card to Girvan (or van der Velde in the case of Lewy Williams dropping out of the top 64), but likely needs to win more than game on TV between now and the end of the season
Lowe, Hunt, Durrant, Heaver, Boulton: Need to qualify and win at least one game at Ally Pally to make it, but quite possibly need more (in particular the latter names)
Anyone else who isn't on a 2-year tour card will need to reach at least round 3 at Ally Pally or else it'll be Q-School for them
Murnan: probably fucked if he doesn't qualify for Ally Pally but almost certainly safe if he does make it
Gawlas: touch and go if he doesn't win another game on TV, will probably be safe with one win, especially if it's at the Worlds
Keegan Brown: probably fucked if he doesn't win a TV game, but a TV win would strengthen his case, especially if it's at Ally Pally

Re: Tour Card Race 2022
My Predictions
Maik Kuivenhoven: He wont be back on the circult for a while if ever. Will do average at Q School
Scott Mitchell: Scotty Dog has had a poor 2022 where i thought he would have a solid one. He said he going to Q School. I expect him to get a card -
Jeff Smith: Too Solid. But i don't think he will get his card back but CDC will be a better route for him
JdZ: Circled the drain for 2 years. off form and past his peak already. Q School will have too much for him
Jason Lowe: Who knows what will happen with him
Adam Hunt: Josh Payne type of decline for him. Will dominate Modus weeks
Glen Durrant: Duzza will be at the Seniors Tour and Modus
Boulton: Will get his tourcard back as he knows how to do it
Hendo: It's the end of hendo aside from Modus plus 2023 he will play Seniors
Max Flopp
Koltzov
Baggish
Mathers
Steve Pest
Flopp will job on the challenge tour. Boris will go regional if possible. Baggish too. Mathers will do the same. West is retiring

Re: Tour Card Race 2022
Henderson’s level this year suggests he has a good chance of succeeding at Q School
Would be surprised if Kuivenhoven is too shit for EU Q School.
Adam Hunt wouldn’t even dominate modus at the moment

I expect Hendo, Jdz, Jeff and Boulton to get their cards back. Mitchell, Flopp, Hunt, Kuivenhoven and Mathers to fail.

Mitchell and Hopp deserve to have a tour card. De Zwaan is good enough. Smiff and Boulton I'm not keen on.
